    NFPA 70E Electrical Arc Flash Safety Training for the WorkplaceOur 8 Hour training program will focus on key elements of the NFPA 70E Standard:  Introduction to the Standard, Definitions; Elements of Electrical Hazards; Shock Hazard Analysis; Arc-flash Analysis; Labeling and PPE Requirements; “Qualified Person” Training; Testing and Equipment; Lockout/Tagout Program; Written Electrical Safety Programs; and more. The training is based on the 2009 version of the standard with a review of changes made for the new 2012 edition.

    10-Hour OSHA General Safety: If your work involves construction on any New Hampshire state, city, or town project totaling over $100K, you are required to take this course. SLGL’s authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer will cover the fundamental components of working safely in the construction industry, Introduction to OSHA, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and more. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive their 10-Hour Construction Safety Training wallet card, as issued by OSHA.

    Inspector at the Door: What next? Whether they are from OSHA, NHDOL, or another agency, pre-planning is critical for a smoother and less stressful outcome. This course will provide insight as to the “do’s and don’ts” of an inspection by covering: what to expect; how to set-up a group for action; what materials/documentation to have available; asking the proper questions; and when to call for assistance.     40-Hour Hazwoper Training: Working with Hazardous Materials? OSHA requires this 5-day course for employees exposed to hazardous materials during clean-up operations and/or emergency response activities. This interactive course combines a mixture of classroom lecture and hands-on exercises. Topics of discussion include Hazard Recognition, Air Monitoring, Site Control & Decontainment, Incident Command, Drum Handling and Control Containment & Confinement Techniques. The course is capped off on the final day with a “mock” emergency response drill where students respond to a chemical incident applying the materials learned over the course of the week.
